Overview

Research in Practice annual Leaders' Forum brings together Directors, Assistant Directors and strategic managers from across our Partner network to debate key challenges and share solutions. At this year’s conference, we will explore the theme of prevention.

A preventative approach is critical to supporting children and adults to lead the lives they want to live. Helping people as early as possible and preventing the causes of needs or harms can enable a strengths-based, person-centred approach that tackles the root cause of issues. This way of working is vital to ensuring a more sustainable and cost-effective system that reduces inequalities. At this conference we will explore what prevention means to different parts of our sector, and how leaders can enable a preventative way of working.

Leaders from statutory and voluntary sector organisations, policy and academia will come together to share knowledge, experience and expertise.

Leaders’ Forum will take place on 5 November at The Studio in Birmingham. This will be a one-day in-person only event.
